Hello, I’m JoAnna!

I promise it’s not planned…

Similar to our Loan Officer Assistant Dee, I also have an extensive background in the medical field.

I actually worked in the industry for fifteen years to be exact! I grew incredibly quick in my position, tirelessly working to balance and manage day to day operations while still bringing a dose of sunshine to everyday situations.

It was an incredible experience thriving in such a high level position, but over the years I started to feel a pull toward a different path. When I was introduced to Michelle, I knew it was the perfect place for me to blossom even more personally and professionally.

“Joei is pure sunshine, and she treats everyone like family. Buying a home is stressful, especially during the middle of the process. I love how thoughtful and caring she is with each of our clients. It shines through in the way she speaks and how she handles every transaction. Our clients aren’t just a number to her, they matter, and it truly shows. Our team is stronger and has more heart because of her!”

Michelle Piccinini, Loan Officer

I was in my 20’s when I was struck by the love bug and met my amazing husband, Jason. A military man, supportive friend, and absolute hunk, he shared many of my same values. I was excited to find out he dreamt of owning the perfect house to raise a family in, just like me! As I was born and raised in Reno, NV, I knew there was no other place I wanted to settle down and extend my roots. When it came time to purchase our first home, we investigated the benefits of the VA Loan, an amazing loan type tailored to those who serve in the military. With so much sacrifice and dedication to our country, this special loan is designed to give back to the people who have already given so much for our country. All I wanted was for my hero to have the house he has always deserved. So, you can imagine the joy I felt when we received the keys and walked into our “mini castle” together. Knowing that I’m part of this same experience for my clients is something so remarkably rewarding and WHY I love doing what I do.

I have always loved writing and sharing my thoughts. You can find my everyday
musings, advice on daily life, and tips to live a happier, healthier life on my blog:

My goal is to help others on their journey of becoming more content and provide
healing in any way that I can.

• I’m working on my second novel (a romantic comedy).
• I’ve written seven children’s books!
• I have a knack for writing lyrics and an affinity for most genres of music.

As a military wife, I have a special lens into the beauty and hardships that are inevitable when you are a part of the Armed Forces. My husband plays an integral role in the Nevada Air Guard, and I admire all he’s done to help protect and serve others. He’s been deployed four times, which has been a challenging experience for our family, but we’re entering a new season of retirement, which I think is so deserved.

Whether you’re in the Air Guard, Army or Navy (or know someone who is) I have nothing but love and respect for you. Our military is making such a huge sacrifice for us, so if I can help them find a safe haven to call “home” that’s the least I can do. I love every type of transaction, but there’s a special place in my heart when I’m able to help with a VA Loan.

VA loans provide access to special benefits, including:

  • No down payment required: For many service members, this is the most attractive feature of a VA loan. You can become a homeowner without having to save for a down payment.
  • Lower interest rates: VA loans typically offer interest rates well below those of conventional loans.
  • No monthly mortgage insurance premiums: MI payments can costs borrowers hundreds every month, an expense you’ll never have with a VA loan.
